Sewing a French Link and Coptic Stitch Book
This is a replacement to another French-link and Coptic stitch video I had posted about a month ago (it wasn't the best!). Here, instead of punching corresponding sewing stations into the covers for every sewing station in the signatures, I only made two - one for each Coptic-sewn area. After the sewing was finished, a matching end page was glued to the front and back covers.
The French-link and Coptic-stitch combination is a beautiful exposed spine binding that is much quicker than a strictly Coptic binding and also takes less thread as it uses one needle rather than multiple. Just as a Coptic book might, this exposed binding also lays flat making it ideal for journaling and sketching.
